Photoshop Tutorials

For my tutorial I chose to do the engraving techniques. The sample image was a fake dollar with deer on it. It looked like it could really be a real piece of money. This caught my eye, I was sure I could make something convincing and cool. I found that the engraved Macaw was pretty easy, so then I made the rest of the money. I wanted it to seem like it was from some kind of little tropical nation. I am very proud of it.

Joseph Cornell Boxes

I liked this one because the colors and the materials and the style the bird is drawn in makes it look like it is really old. it looks like it could be out of some coffee plantation in Africa.

I thought this one spoke to me because it looks like something that might be on a ship, sailing or otherwise. I also like the one blue bead that is in the glass and off center. I think it keeps the piece interesting.

I like this image because he has taken a bunch of different pieces that don't have much to do with each other. However the style they are done in and the way he has arranged them makes it interesting.

Stipple: Heros and Villians

For my Hero and Villain I chose two of the Characters from the movie 3:10 yo yuma. In the movie the character on the left is a gang leader who has been arrested and they are taking him to Yuma Prison. The man on the right is a rancher who is being paid to, along with a group of people, transport the prisoner.
I decided to make them similar colors
because as the movie progresses,
the lines between good guy and bad
guy, begin to blur. For me the hardest
Part of this project was just getting the
stippling right. I am not the best
artist, but when I worked slowly
and carefully it turned out great
